Introduction - 

Today We will discuss About FPE means Fundamentals of Power Electronics what we will study in this Subject All About Electronics For example Electronics devices - IGBT, SCR, LASCR, SCS.......And More. Different types of methods, Controlled Circuits. total we study Five units of this subject.

 

 

UNITS / CHAPTERS  

UNIT 1 - Power Electronic Devices

So in this unit we study about power electronics devices for ex. power  transistor , IGBT , SET single electron transistor Construction working principle and V-I characteristics etc.

 

 

 

UNIT 2 - Thyristor Family Devices 

In this unit we will study about SCR - Construction Working principle and V-I characteristics SCR mounting and cooling Different types Thyristors - SCR, LASR,  SCS,  GTO and so all. Protection circuits Over Voltage and over current.

 

 

UNIT 3 - trun On Trun Off Methods of thyristors 

So in this unit we will study about Scr trun on methods, gate trigger circuits SCR triggering using UJT, PUT . Pulse transformer and opto coupler based triggering SCR turn off methods CLASS -A CLASS-B CLASS-C CLASS-D and CLASS-E etc.

UNIT 4 - Phase Controlled Rectifiers

So in this unit we will study about phase controlled, Single phase half controlled Different Configuration of bridge controlled  etc.

UNIT 5 - Industrial Control Circuits 

So last unit we will study about Applications : Burglar's alarm system, Battery Charger using SCR and so all......then we will study about SMP, UPS, SCR based AC nad DC circuits breakers.
